Course Dates: March 26-27, 2011 (2 days)
Course Cost: $850/seat
Registration/More Information: http://store.wispgear.net/
This class will take place on March 26-27, 2012 prior to the ISPAmerica
2012 Symposium. The focus for this course is strictly on deployment.
While we will cover some of the basics, our focus is on the actual work
necessary to transition your ISP toward a successful deployment of IPv6.
We will cover in detail topics such as:
* Addressing and Routing Strategies
* Similarities and differences with IPv4
* Security implications and strategies
* CPE gear
* Allocation methods and options
* Transport options
* And MUCH MORE!
This is a vendor neutral course that will include a number of different
vendors, such as Cisco, Mikrotik and ImageStream. This is a hands on
course. We will build a working IPv4 network and deploy a fully working
routed IPv6 network on top of this working network.
Butch has been in the business of teaching end users about the MikroTik
product since 2004. In 2005, Butch developed a WISP Basic course that is
aimed at teaching basic networking skills necessary to build a Wireless
ISP. In 2007, Butch developed the ImageStream Certification materials
for their ICNA and ICNO training track. Butch has been in the ISP
business since 1994 and his extensive experience comes through in the
training presentations.
