Well, not to put too fine a point on it, but... this is what the bug description said: + When using the depends clause on a target, the order of the + targets in the depends attribute is NOT respected, and the + targets listed in the depends attribute are executed in order + of their placement in the source build.xml file.
But as you say, any way you read it, it ain't true, so I think you can safely close this bug. (Haven't had a chance yet to figure out if I can do that or learn how myself.)
