Interfax December 7, 2009 U.S. general discusses Georgian mission to Afghanistan in Tbilisi TBILISI: U.S. Air Force Commander in Europe and Eurasia Roger Brady discussed a plan to send Georgian servicemen to Afghanistan with Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili and Defense Minister Bacho Akhalaya in Tbilisi on Monday, official sources in Tbilisi have reported. Georgia has become an example for many in sending troops to Afghanistan, the U.S. general told the media. By February 2010, the Georgian contingent in Afghanistan will have over 1,000 servicemen. Now it has 173 servicemen.
