Standart News December 30, 2009 Bulgaria Sends More Troops to Afghanistan Teodora Yolcheva During today’s regular sitting of the Parliament, MPs will most probably pass a decision to send more troops to Afghanistan next year. Up to thirty Bulgarian soldiers may set off for Kandahar after January 1, 2010. Thus, the strength of the Bulgarian contingent in Afghanistan will reach 300 soldiers. The mission of the Bulgarian troops will be to secure the internal perimeter of the Kandahar airport.
