Voice of Russia February 11, 2010 US ABMs in Romania – back to “Cold War” – Moldova’s ex-president The US ABMs deployment in Romania is bringing Europe back to the “Cold War”, the ex-president of Moldova, Communist Party leader Vladimir Voronin believes. Romania’s president Traian Basescu agreed to deploy US interceptors in Romania on February, 4th. Moldova has always been against ABMs in Europe, Voronin said. Naturally, Moldovans condemn involving neighboring Romania in the process, he said.
