I've got a few patches to the nsoracle module that I'd like to feed back. Most of them are relatively small and minor... preventing compiler warnings and the like; though a couple of more significant bug fixes as well. Where's the prefered place to send these... here, the SF bug tracker, Jeremy Collins's inbox...?

I'd say submit it to the SF bug tracker, then send an email to this
mailing list with the tracker ID.

OK - will do so at the start of next week.

If you're an active user of nsoracle, would you be interested in
becoming the owner of record for the module? Once folks have a chance
to review your changes ... I can set you up with CVS commit access and
you can go and merge them in yourself, if you wouldn't mind.

Sure, I don't mind doing that.

My only concern with becoming the maintainer would be the level of my OCI expertise. Currently it's passable - enough to hack on the driver, but not to instigate larger scale changes. On the other hand, I'm hoping to work on that. There are a couple of extra features we might be interested in (a "get n rows" fetch function for example) which would require improved knowledge, and I think it would also be necessary to do a proper review of memory usage as well. Whether that happens is pretty much dependent on how much of a priority those things get at work - I'm afraid I can't commit my own time to that.

However, I would have the time for and have no objection to reviewing/applying patches others send in - certainly at the current low levels.

Cheers
