I think this is an excellent idea. One complaint I have is that you're not committing to using git-hub -- you're not making it an "official" change.

Frankly, sourceforge should probably go away as soon as possible (and CVS along with it).

My personal preference would have been to host AOLserver on launchpad so I gently shake my fist at you for not "involving the community".

Still, I think this is overwhelmingly good news.
