Hi - I'm starting to get the error message "unable to add venue", when previously venues would go in without any issues whatsoever, even if there's a similar venue entry already. Often venues that come back in search results are incomplete or wrong, so I like to submit a correct entry if necessary.
Examples: The Nexus, 1414 Harbor Way South. Ste 1010, , Point Richmond, CA, 94804 DiversityWorks Worshops, 800 Heinz Ave. #14, , Berkeley, CA, 94710 A search for them turns up nothing, even variations on the name, or using just the street address. But I cannot add them, at least via the API. I'm guessing this is because Eventful already has a similar venue, because with a third venue, I got this error message, then tried a variation on the name, which returned an entry for the venue (not entirely correct but good enough). I used that venue and entered the event. If the api would return the venue it already has that my entry collides with, so I can figure out if it's the same or not, that would be good. Or a better error message, with more explanation as to what's wrong. Or just accept the venue and deal with it on the back end. Venues go by different names, and there are often multiple venues at the same address. Let alone typos. So a more forgiving search or venue acceptance process would be great. Thanks, Nancy
