I'm pretty certain one of the more common clocks for the IIc was just a
very common specially-packaged part, which can still be ordered. I know
I've read about it on USENET, but a quick Google search didn't turn
anything up. At any rate, buy one of those parts and get ahold of the
software they wrote, and I believe all you'd have to do is wire it up to
the serial port.

The interface box for the Seiko Datagraph wristwatch <http://
www.applefritter.com/accessories/datagraph/index.html> also serves as a
real-time clock for the IIe. Using this schematic <http://
www.sigma957.org/datagraph.html> you could wire it up to the IIc, which
would probably still work with the software (A IIc version was also made)
or at least would allow you to peek at the time.

I guess that would depend on how the software handled it. I have no idea.
