I use an ISP called Foxvalley Internet; it has dialup points throughout
the US, and supports a shell system--any Apple II and comm software that
can do a VT100 emulation can access the shell (like I'm doing right now
with my //e -- and either ProTerm or Modem MGR. Prices are reasonable,
access works, it's locally owned and operated, so they're concerned about
their users. check out http://www.foxvalley.net/POPS to see if there's a
dialup in your local area, and go up one level to get prices. :)

(There are Apple II users on Foxvalley.net literally all over the country.
:) )
