Here I disagree. This is not a problem. However, with newer CPUs DOS users 
will face problems.

Haven't done it yet, but there is an option (dao16 and dao32 - Golden Hawks 
program)

Seriously, what platform you use to create new Arachne versions is 
insignificant to me. However, what you said can be done (but probably not 
with a IDE CD-R). Golden Hawk for the CD-R, and Cubic Player for the MP3.
