Hi again;

Last night I had the requirement to use Arachne for a search.
The search string had two spaces:
Wattcp +"secure shell" +DOS

You could see in the URL window that Arachne had put %20 where the
spaces had been. The search worked fine. I guess it is NOT a bug.

Your lack of success in the search must have been due to other factors.

I used Google. For the types of things I regularly search for, Google is
by FAR the best. I tried Infind a couple of times but it was no better for
me than any of the others. Yahoo is good, but nowwhere near Google.
Raging is OK, but no cigar.

I don't know how the others stay in business. I find that they seem to
search only selected areas of the net, while Google does the whole thing.
Maybe the main public interest is in areas I don't need to search.

I gave up searching on sex related items some time ago. It's not a lack
of interest, it's information overload.
