I have downloaded it, and the free BEOS5 personal.

BEOS did neither support my graphicscard nor my networkcard ....
(it has only support for to NICs NE2000 and a 3com ...)

So I couldn't take a closer look at it ... (it starts up in failsafe mode)

QNX in contrast looks really good !!!
It autodetected my graphicscard (but did not offer graphics acceleration)
and also my NIC ... GREAT

It looks really great, you can definde if you want to boot to a GUI or a
UNIX like command line ...
You have a great package manager (like Linux RPM) ....

I have downloaded the base package for WIndows ...

But attention ....

Both are quite small downloads (47 MB BEOS, 27 MB QNX) BUT
both mount a file as their root FS.
THis file is 512 MB with BEOS.
And it is configurable with QNX defaulting to 600 MB.

So you should have enough free diskspace ...
(QNX can also be installed in it own partition)
