I assume (L.D has been almost as wage as I am lately <g>) that she's
refering to image-maps (there's one in the examples directory in Arachne).
I have never heard of a XMS tag (which probably makes it HTML 4.0 or
non-compatible). The MAP tag works fine (atleast when I've tried it). I was
actually discussing a small improvment in the MAP handling appartment with
Michael but he was reluctant to try it out IIRC (I had only tested my own
Arachne version with a few html files that used it).
IMHO a (graphical) program is the most suited program for making the basics
in MAP tags (especially if you want to make the tag around some sort of
complex object). I used some program for Win 3.x back in 1998 to turn a
normal (Star Wars) poster into an image-map with a bunch of links.
