Pressing <Esc> takes me back to the previous screen. Even pressing "R" and then <Esc> immediately afterwards, while the counter is still racing, takes me back one screen. So that seems to be the solution. But what is "R" doing? I thought it was supposed to Reload everything in text-only mode. Very strange.
