I am already doing that. In general there is a feature in mailman to add single email addresses to a "filter" which accepts/rejects/discards emails. If someone is interested I can add such filter entries for him/her that emails get passed-through if they do not want to subscribe to that list. > > As it is impractical and undesirable to have everyone subscribed > > everywhere, > > I need a solution that meets these needs: > > > > Any ARC related mail needs to be accepted by all the community and > > project aliases on OS.o. > > For mail being bridged out from the machinery driving the ARC stuff, > that makes sense, however, see below. > > > ARC related mail must not require the sender to have membership > > on any OS.o alias. You do not need an opensolaris.org account, you only have to subscribe to the matching mailman lists. > Though requiring > subscription to the various specific aliases is not good, I agree. > > There's already the "Let any opensolaris.org member post to any list > without moderation" request(s). Because it would always require to add the sender to the reply which is considered "bad taste" in mailinglists (the lists on opensolaris.org violate this anyway but I am not happy that this spreads more). ---- Bye, Roland -- __ . . __ (o.\ \/ /.o) roland.mainz at nrubsig.org \__\/\/__/ MPEG specialist, C&&JAVA&&Sun&&Unix programmer /O /==\ O\ TEL +49 641 7950090 (;O/ \/ \O;)
