Hi Greg,
Not really a problem, just a slow mirror. That happens from time to
time. You handled it correctly.
To minimize the problem, I only keep about 5 active mirrors that are
geographically close and are regularly up to date as shown on the Mirror
Status page [1].
After you have worked with your mirror list for a while, you will
figure out which set of mirrors in your location has good bandwidth and
is reliable. They very considerably.
No magic, just a bit of tinkering and you will be set.
