Did you enable/start the service? Use systemctl status [name_of_your_service] For hysterical raisins I'm using a script I wrote based on dhcpcd. IOW you'll probably just need to configure dhcpcd correctly according to the wiki and start/enable it. "To start the daemon for all network interfaces, start/enable dhcpcd.service." - https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Dhcpcd#Running https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Help:Reading#Control_of_systemd_units $ systemctl status alice-dhcp.service ● alice-dhcp.service - Alice DHCP Loaded: loaded (/usr/lib/systemd/system/alice-dhcp.service; enabled; preset: disabled) Active: active (exited) since Tue 2026-10-20 15:31:22 CEST; 3 days ago Invocation: 7a67d8bfeeb349cfbca5ec4cc875abd4 Main PID: 583 (code=exited, status=0/SUCCESS) Tasks: 5 (limit: 38180) Memory: 5.5M (peak: 11.7M) CPU: 138ms CGroup: /system.slice/alice-dhcp.service ├─ 612 "dhcpcd: enp6s0 [ip4]" ├─ 613 "dhcpcd: [privileged proxy] enp6s0 [ip4]" ├─ 614 "dhcpcd: [control proxy] enp6s0 [ip4]" ├─1189 "dhcpcd: [BPF ARP] enp6s0 192.168.1.5" └─1637 "dhcpcd: [BOOTP proxy] 192.168.1.5" Oct 20 15:31:17 archlinux dhcpcd[613]: enp6s0: probing address 192.168.1.5/24 Oct 20 15:31:22 archlinux alice-dhcp[613]: enp6s0: leased 192.168.1.5 for 604800 seconds Oct 20 15:31:22 archlinux dhcpcd[613]: enp6s0: leased 192.168.1.5 for 604800 seconds Oct 20 15:31:22 archlinux alice-dhcp[613]: enp6s0: adding route to 192.168.1.0/24 Oct 20 15:31:22 archlinux alice-dhcp[613]: enp6s0: adding default route via 192.168.1.1 Oct 20 15:31:22 archlinux dhcpcd[613]: enp6s0: adding route to 192.168.1.0/24 Oct 20 15:31:22 archlinux dhcpcd[613]: enp6s0: adding default route via 192.168.1.1 Oct 20 15:31:22 archlinux alice-dhcp[1619]: resolvconf: signature mismatch: /etc/resolv.conf Oct 20 15:31:22 archlinux alice-dhcp[1619]: resolvconf: run `resolvconf -u` to update Oct 20 15:31:22 archlinux systemd[1]: Finished Alice DHCP.
