My network connection was alive, I could ping any server on the net and I could even download package files. But the actual package download just didn't start. No timeout error or anything like that on vtt5. I tried about 10 different mirrors, everytime the same problem. Now I installed using the Voodoo image, which works fine for me. I'm using a Realtek NIC, which uses the realtek 8139 module.
