gives the ownership - what package belongs this file to. this is the core plus point of pacman in general my point of view. such a simple question gives you the answer to what a pkg belongs and what pkgs do not belong to any pkg. very usefull for organisation of files. if you make changes, you save it under a different name. you can do diff/bindiff and if all people using it agree, you can migrate the changes to the pkg itself making all users have the changes, that are in -Suy. :) i admit, that this is a completely different field of usage for pacman than it is for distributing software and software-related data. - D _______________________________________________ arch mailing list [email protected] http://archlinux.org/mailman/listinfo/arch
