Hey,
The current hplip package in the repositories is 1.7.4a, while the latest
package is 2.7.7.
I am trying to build and install a 2.7.7 package using the PKGBUILD and
hplip file from the package in the current repository. While building the
package goes without any problems, the package itself does not work.
-- The CUPS test page does not print, and the hp-toolbox test page does not
print.
-- The cups interface at localhost:631 says "open device failed; will retry
in 30 seconds..."
-- hp-toolbox starts but also displays the message "Session management
error: Authentication Rejected, reason : None of the authentication
protocols specified are supported and host-based authentication failed"
The reason I'm trying to build the latest hplip package is because the
1.7.4a package does not work for me anymore - the hp-toolbox program returns
a AttributeError, and the only thing I can print is the CUPS test page.
If anyone has suggestions or tips, please let me know.
