I'm having the exact same error messages in my /var/log/everything.log. In
addition to that, when I run the hp-toolbox application as root, it can find
my printer. When I run the program as the normal user, it cannot find the
printer. I noticed in my /var/log/errors.log that there were two types of
errors (the first set only appears twice, while the second set repeats for a
long time).

I have tried adding my normal user to the 'sys' and 'lp' groups, but that
has not resulted in the printer working. The following messages appear
indefinitely in /var/log/everything.log in increments of 30 seconds.
