My ath Link Quality seems to be low too, but OTOH I'm not sure how to
interpret these values correctly since I never experienced any problems.

$ iwconfig ath0 | grep Link
          Link Quality=28/70  Signal level=-65 dBm  Noise level=-93 dBm


Additionally I remember putting a Cisco Aironet right next to an
ath-Laptop and still getting values around 55/70.
