Hi Paula,

The video you posted does not appear to show any errors in the Arches 
resource instance creation process.

I loaded the json you sent and was able to successfully create resource 
instances from it. It does look like there are two name/name type branches 
however one appears to be related to the 'Name' card and the other appears 
to be related to the 'Reference' Card. The names I create under the 'Name' 
card do seem to be used by the name type function as intended.

>From here I would check two things on your system:

1. I would check that the card and widget in both the 'Name' and 
'Reference' card are set to visible.

2. That the permissions for each branch are set how you intend. (i.e. that 
the user(s) that is creating/viewing the resource instances has permissions 
to create/view a resource instance and has create/read permissions on the 
name card)


Unfortunately, without being able to recreate the bug you describe locally 
from the json you provided or see the bug in a video it's hard to diagnose 
an issue here.
