I agree about the article being corrupt....but it must be really corrupt...it refuses to be deleted. (start the scarey music...) I can delete all the rest of the articles in the queue but that one won't go away.
>>> Gene Kenney <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> 10/28/2008 11:56 AM >>> Barb, I would delete that article from Ariel, rescan, and try sending it. After, you delete the article, see if Ariel is working ok. Sounds like that particular article in Ariel is corrupt. So that wasn't the problem. I'm still trying to get this ariel send to work. For those who like a good mystery....here is the latest.....I came in today and behold I was able to send 6 documents out and they went from Held to sent and I thought my problems were solved. Then I got a message from the library to whom we had sent an article yesterday that started the whole mess. She said they got one page of the article but nothing else. So, I stupidly re-arieled to her and guess what? The ariel send queue is stuck again. Is it coincidence that it was the same school I was sending to when things shut down? Their ariel address is letters not numbers. Could that affect anything? The log said "opening binary mode data connection for file transmission" after I tried to send to that school. But it didn't say that in the log after the 6 that went out previously.Any suggestions are still being welcomed by me. I have tried them all to no avail so far. If this helps any...the queue never moves from 0 in the Tries column. Thanks again!!! And just in case... Does anyone know a tech help desk number for ariel? Lately we've found the files that are either colored or grey take a longer time to send, which means the sending often "times out". If this is the issue the solution will be to find a way to convert the colored and grey files to black-n-white / binary.
