We have been on ILLiad 8.0 from the start, so I cannot speak of the transition
from 7.4. However, in my experience, if you have Ariel 4.1, the settings
should be:

ArielDatabaseAddress: whatever the IP address is for the local machine that you
have Ariel installed on (in our case, this is 163.118.90.4)
ArielType: Query

127.0.0.1 should be corresponding to Linda Frederiksen's local computer, not to
a general setting applicable across different sites. The key
"ArielDatabaseAddress" is misleading - it can be set to the IP of the Ariel
machine.

We were having some issues with Ariel docs not being automatically deleted
after importing into ILLiad, but once we changed our settings as described
above, everything has worked fine.

We had a problem similar to this last week and this suggestion from Troy at
Eastern Washington University helped us:

In the ILLiad customization manager, try setting the Ariel DatabaseAddress to
127.0.0.1 and ArielType equals Query.

Hi,
We are having the same problem. We can't figure out how to fix it. This problem
started after we did an illiad upgrade. What we have been doing is after
importing into illiad, we go back and delete from ariel. Then we go back to
illiad and send. I would welcome any ideas on fixing this problem.

Current versions of Ariel and ILLiad.

Ariel running on a Windows XP workstation.

The Ariel documents in the "Received Queue" do not get deleted from Ariel, even
after they have been imported them to Electronic Delivery Processing in ILLiad.

Any thoughts on why this would be the case?

I've been through both the Ariel and ILLiad documentation, and everything
configured seems to be configured correctly.
