Contract security seems like a joke these days. And, for a VM with no hardware visibility, EVM assembly seems unnecessarily complicated. I feel like even for cryptocurrency detractors, Taler could get implemented on ethereum. Without a kickstarter or liberpay, with customize-able rules, like raising an advance fund, for a free culture initiative.
