ARR once quoted "You can learn music, you can learn technology, but beyond all that, composing music is like a spiritual, divine journey". What he was probably trying to convey is that his approach is different from other MDs. He admits he's never perfect; many a time he's approached a soundtrack wrongly, gone back and come in again. He's repeated the process over and over again till he's satisfied with the result. Technically speaking, he's got the best state-of-the-art digital studio in probably the whole of India (In fact, daxco digital, the pioneers in sound technology plan to modify and construct a hude studio just for ARR!!!!) So, this might be an advantage as well. He also admits that to grow in music, one should keep an open mind- 1 should experiment. He does a lot of that while other MDs probably don't (for reasons best known to them). It's all about approach- he says that everytime he starts out on a song, he treats it as his first. With such enthusiasm and freshness, can we "not" recognise his stamp?? :) Sameer
