RahmanÂ’s show will be hi-tech Deccan Herald
As A R Rahman and his entourage of 70 treat Bangalore to some fine live music on October 8, fans can look out for an experience with a whole new dimension, literally. The concert at Palace Grounds, which is the sixth in Rahman’s World Tour itinerary this year, will incorporate a three-dimensional technology. “There will be a projection system and 3-D glasses will be provided for certain ticket denominations, through which viewers can experience a 3-D vision of the performance. The technology was tried out to good effect in Rahman’s last two shows in Sydney and Melbourne,” said Mr Ravi Rajagopal, President and CEO of India Classic Arts (ICA),which is organising the show. “The show to be held in Bangalore will outshine those held this year at London, Birmingham, Sydney, Melbourne and Singapore, in terms of the crowd,” he said. Ms Roopa Iyer, Senior Vice President and COO — ICA said proceeds from the show would be donated to ‘Namma Mane’, a charity initiative by ICA for senior and mentally challenged women. Mobile ticketing Spice Telecom, in association with Converge Labs, is offering a mobile ticketing service for the show.
