Hey

We should not always look in to negative Aspects...

See....when he meant Today's Music...bla bla bla....then he should also include his 2 sons...

Any Father will give discouragement like this to his children?No...no one wud do it

And regarding if he was referring to ARR...no way..Both r legends in thier own ways.

And ARR's music is not an nonsense music or an dapankuthu songs..

Illayraja wud have meant songs like Aapdi podu,Kumabuda pona deviam...like these crap songs...

Hi Everybody...

During the recently conducted one-day "Maestro Live" show by
Ilayaraja, he was interacting with the audiences in a friendly manner.

Speaking about his compositions, he said: "In a music, both the tunes
and the lyrics should complement perfectly. As in the case of a song:
Sundari kannal oru sedhi (Dalapathy), Vaali has written lyrics which
match my compositions appropriately in the exact range and wavelength."

Then he also said: "Today, there are songs which neither match the
tune nor the lyrics, but that is somewhat acceptable. They fall in the
category of film songs, which is different. Just like Food and Popcorn."

"Why Popcorn SELLS more is a separate debate which we will not discuss
now."

There may be nothing wrong with what he said, but it is a DIRECT
comment towards some of the best-sellers in the music industry today.
Whom or WHAT EXACTLY did he have in mind? Is A. R. Rahman or his TYPE
OF MUSIC a possibility that he targeted...??

What do you think? Please write in your "unbiased" views.

Thanks for reading.
Chandra.
