Hi,
It is a known fact that ARRhas been belting out some great music but the number of films he has done has come down for obvious reasons. The songs have been hits but just because the movies have flopped, it doesn't mean ARR hasn't given a HIT. The songs have not got due recognition beacuse there are a lot of private channels in TN that promote even the worst of the movies for some reasons unknown to many and some personal rivalry not towards Rahman but somebody else in the movie.
Anyway it seems Rahman has a lot of movies queuing up to get released next year and he pushes out the Dappankuthu songs of the popular numbers and provide people with real quality music.

It can win awrds for BGMs alone... but then the ppl dont recognise them...
For example KM was not even nominated for TN state awards but still won the national award...
For me ARR can give something which other MDs cannot.. can u name a single MD who can do a Water?? I dont damn care about what ppl say about him... or whether his albums are chartbusters...

can be done to get inspired by the response by the fans but it cannot
be a main carrier in his life...coz he has millions of fans waiting
to listen new fresh tunes in movies & getting appriciated!!
