Music is not a product that can be manufactured to customers'
specifications. It's an art form that emerges from the creative talent of
an artiste and is an expression of his/her creative experiences and
process. Fantastic, if listeners take to what they hear, tough luck for
the artiste if they don't. The day an artiste starts to tweak his output
to cater to various vested interests, s/he is dead as an artiste. A certain
superstar-who-shall-not-be-named, died as an artiste the day he decided to
churn out sheer banality repeatedly to cater to his delusional 'fan base'. I
think
ARR has been doing a fantastic job of taking listeners through a new
evolution every few years. Let's just leave him to his metier.

We know that. But fans have their expectations too. If ARR knows what
his fans expect, he can do better, I think!
