if you guys want to listen to how uniquely ARR mixed bass guitar, listen to margazhi thingal (sangamam). i dont think neone has ever mixed a bass guitar for a carnatic song. sounds terrific. latest case - valayapatti (the use of bass guitar once again for the carnatic aalaps) tremendously intelligent arrangement, just goes to show that bass guitar is a very powerful accompaniment for carnatic song (like a violin).
