It's all glitz and glamour in Chennai, 'Paruthi Veeran' sweeps the southern
Filmfare awards. It rained stars at the 55th South Indian filmfare awards,
as all the big names of the South Indian film industry walked the red carpet
in Chennai.

It was bonhomie for movie buffs down south, as the most prominent
personalities of the South Indian film industry descended at the Filmfare
awards. It was a star studded affair with celebrities like Tabu, Shriya
Saran, Madhavan and Chiranjeevi adding limelight to the glorious event.

According to Shriya Saran, "Filmfare awards are always a lot fun, people
wait for these awards here. I'm really excited as I'm performing. So it's a
double-bonus." While actress Trisha states, "It's always a very nice
feeling. You get to meet the entire industry and it's a lot of pomp and
grandeur. It's always nice to be there."

Well it oozed loads of talent and creativity at the awards ceremony, and the
bold and the beautiful got together to celebrate a night of talent and
creative brilliance.

Winning six of 12 awards, 'Paruthiveeran' made a near clean-sweep and as
usual it was none other than music maestro A R Rehman, who bagged best
'Music Director' award. But the biggest moment of the night was when actress
Jaya Prada walked away with the Lifetime Achievement award.
