I think both you guys are right. It is really hard to choose the best of all 
times. R D Burman was and still a legend. ARR, the living legend, 
revolutionised and popularised Indian film music all around the world, 
something RDBurman necessarily did not achieve in his lifetime. Each of these 
geniuses have been hailed the best during their times. And a comparison may not 
be just, rather there will be a tie-up between the two.
