I thought that ARR holds all the copyrights of his songs lately. How come 
congress bought the rights of Jai Ho? He even opted out of Om Shanti Om because 
of the fact that Shahrukh didn't wanna give ARR the rights.

Exactly I don't see ARR participation in this. It's just that congress has 
bought the rights of the songs and now have a new singer sings to a new set of 
lyrics
