The point is not about similarity in tune. But the point is about - what was hovering in ARR's mind when he made this song.
If only some interviewer asks it, I am sure ARR might say that he was inspired (purely by school of thought, not tune etc) by Pink Floyd's creations such as "Wish you were here", "Animals", "More", Obscured by Clouds". Infact, i feel the song has doses of Pink Floyd-ian style peppered with L.Shankar (electronic violin).
