Padma Bhushan for Aamir, Padma Shri for Sehwag January 25, 2010 17:25 IST Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan [ Images ] has been selected for the 'Padma Bhushan' award on the occasion of 60th Republic Day. Cricketer Virendra Sehwag and Badminton star Saina Nehwal [ Images ] have been chosen for the 'Padma Shri' awards along with yesteryear Bollywood diva Rekha and actor Saif Ali Khan [ Images ]. Nobel laureate Dr Venkataraman Ramakrishnan and veteran theatre and film actor Zohra Sehgal have been chosen for the Padma Vibhushan award, the second highest civilian award in India [ Images ]. 44-year-old Amir Khan, who made his directorial debut with the critically-acclaimed Taare Zameen Par [ Images ] in 2007, recently came out with 3 Idiots that has become the highest-earning movie in Bollywood. Apart from this, music maestro Illaiyaraaja and Oscar famed music composer A R Rahman [ Images ] have also been selected for the prestigious Padma Bhushan awards. Oscar winner sound recordist of Slumdog Millionaire [ Images ] Resul Pokutty has also been awarded with a Padma Shri. Eminent journalist Fareed Zakaria [ Images ] and prominent hotelier Sant Singh Chatwal have also been selected for Padma Bhushan.
