To Anil:

As someone posted earlier, this is a "fan" group, not a "fanatic" group. I am
certainly against anyone who outright disrespects AR or his music and comes
form a biased viewpoint, but healthy, balanced criticism should be valued, for
it allows for a more refined understanding of Rahman's music. Rahman himself
is open to healthy criticsm, stating in the "LIft Karade" episode on TV that he
welcomes fan criticsm of his music and sometimes even uses criticism that he
agrees with to good use for future projects. If ARR accepts healthy criticism,
why can't we, his fans?

To Sanket,

ARR is a progressive, free flowing artist and it's his experimentations that
have lead him to the success that he's had, whether you like particular albums
or not. And don't forget that our psychological evaluation of earlier albums
is always confounded by nostalgia....always. Now, that does not account for
100% of our opinion, but it does play a part.

Rahman's music has undergone changes over the years for sure, and whether you
like those changes or not is up to you. For me, I see it as a give and take
with a zero net loss or gain. What Rahman used to emphasize more in his music
that I liked but does not anymore, is compensated by new dimensions and
emphases in Rahman's music today that I like, but did not exist before.

I wish some people would stop assuming that their opinions are the gospel and
that others have to agree with them, or assume that they do. Personal opinion
is one thing, but assuming that everyone should agree with you is just
unreasonable and out of reality.
