Yes, you still need to patch Remedy. The issues outlined in the bulletin were documented on a fully DST patched Operating System.
The reason is that there are places in the product that do not use the operating system for DST calculations but rather use a 3rd party library. The Remedy patches update this library with the DST 2007 changes. Thanks, -David J. The only reason I can think of that we would need to do this is because of the conversion to epoch seconds. Thanks for all the help. -----Original Message----- From: Action Request System discussion list(ARSList) [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Lucero, Michelle - IST contractor Sent: Tuesday, January 16, 2007 2:12 PM To: arslist@ARSLIST.ORG Subject: Re: Daylight saving time Technical Bulletin for AR System 6.0.1, 6.03 and 7.0.01 Thank you so much for updating us, David. We really appreciate it. We all know that the compatibility matrix allows the 7.0.x Mid-Tier to point to an ARS 6.3 server. But, do you know if the DST patches were tested in mixed environments as well? In particular Mid-Tier 7.0.01 Patch 1(DST) against ARS 6.3 Patch 20(DST) and Flashboards 6.3 patch 20? There always seems to be some slight incompatibility issues, especially when it comes to Flashboard 6.3 qualifications and Mid-Tier 7.x.x Thanks, Michelle -----Original Message----- From: Action Request System discussion list(ARSList) [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Easter, David Sent: Tuesday, January 16, 2007 1:36 PM To: arslist@ARSLIST.ORG Subject: Daylight saving time Technical Bulletin for AR System 6.0.1, 6.03 and 7.0.01 Hi All, The DST document detailing the information that we know about how the DST 2007 change affects supported versions of AR System is being made available at: http://documents.bmc.com/supportu/documents/78/29/67829/67829.pdf It should show up on the support website by end of day on Jan 17, 2007.
