We recently upgraded our Oracle from 9i to 10g (10.2.0.2 + DST patches) and the DBA would like to know about changing the optimizer setting. On 9i it was set to RULE and 10g does not officially support RULE anymore so he would like to change it to COST based. All indexes are analyzed every night.
I know that this has probably been discussed on here before, but which would be better for running ARS on?
