Hi, Les: The BMC Remedy Action Request System 7.0.01 Release Notes have a small section on the replacement of Servlet Exec with Apache Tomcat. It includes about one or two steps that need to be changed during the installation.

We had to tweak some memory settings after the installation. Those settings will be available under Configure Tomcat. -----Original Message----- From: Action Request System discussion list(ARSList) [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Tuesday, February 06, 2007 12:24 PM To: arslist@ARSLIST.ORG Subject: Installing Mid-Tier Hello, Would anyone out there have a step by step procedure for installing Mid-Tier for ARS 7.0.1? The machine is running AIX Apache web server I have never installed Mid-Tier before I have very little AIX I have no experience with Apache When I try to follow the PDF provided by Remedy it refers to ServletExec, but actually installs Tomcat. The guide does not specify how to start/stop Tomcat. The guide does not specify any environment variables required (I don't think). I have tried a couple times with no luck. Every appeard to install fine without error, but when I use a windows machine to browse to the specified configuration page it won't display, even thogh I know the machines can see each other. I am quite lost here and could really use some help. If anyone has done a complete install all the way from pre to post I could sure use your notes.
