Hi, Les:

The BMC Remedy Action Request System 7.0.01 Release Notes have a small
section on the replacement of Servlet Exec with Apache Tomcat. It
includes about one or two steps that need to be changed during the
installation.

PS
I installed 7.0.01 P1 Mid-Tier, however on a Windows 2003 server. It
was pretty straight forward. We had to tweak some memory settings after
the installation. Those settings will be available under Configure
Tomcat.

Hi Les,

Just adding a little bit more information from Michelle.
If you' re using Tomcat, then try download midtier patch in form of
.WAR file (for AIX). The installation proccess is strightforward,
because all you need is just deploy it from tomcat management console.
The installation process is the same in any os.
