Tony,
you have more than 1 problem with DST -- from what I see here..

OS - windows needs the DST patch
Outlook - possible DST patch
Oracle - DST patch
Java - DST patch
Remedy Server - DST patch

Oracle DST patch is by far the most Brutal..
One of our DBA's spend 3 weeks coming up with a DOC for the fix.
-- There are some 20 Notes you have to go through.. which are written like
CODE.. Interwoven

Sorry for the bad news.

Long time reader, first time poster.

I am new to being a remedy admin. The job was thrust upon me when the old
admin left. So my knowledge of the app is VERY limited.

Now we have the DST patch to deal with.

My environment is 6.03 patch 17
on a windows box
with an oracle backend.

My development environment is fried and will not be up for the foreseeable
future. (old admin did everything in live)

I have been told.. Just load it in live. (Good opportunity to learn ?)

My question for the list.. What if I just don't load it?

If I understand things correctly (limited view).
The effect would be that time frames over the time of change would be off
by
an hour.

From 11:00 PM on 3/10/07 to 4:00 AM 3/11/07 would be 4 hours.. not five.

The use of Remedy in my shop if very limited. Call tracking system,
limited
escalations, no add ins. Reporting is based on volume, not time of
response.

Then what would the impact really be if I just don't load it ?

Thanks for the help with this. I have posed the question to support and
our
account rep and have gotten no where.
