I haven't applied the patch yet, but I'm guessing that it merely wants you
to update the script located somewhere in your initd folder that starts
Remedy up to mirror whats in the arsystem script located in
/opt/remedy/bin/arsystem.

Possibly some startup parameter has been modified.

Subject
Strange "arsystem merge" instruction at the end of 7.01 Patch 2

Hi everyone,

I used the "ar_install" program to upgrade our arsystem to
Patch 2, installing as non-root (Linux server, ARS 7.01,
Oracle 10.2 db, previously Patch 1). At the end it said to
open a session as root and

"- Merge the content from the startup file
     /opt/remedy/bin/arsystem into the
     system startup file."

I couldn't figure out what that meant, so I quit. But the
patch seems to have been successful anyway.

Any idea what they are talking about?
