I would just add a record that has a value of something like "<CLEAR>" so it shows up at the top of the list, and when a user selects that value in the menu, you kick off an Active Link on Menu Choice that sets the field to $NULL$. This prevents you from adding a Clear button to the form and taking up extra space.
