It doesn't have to be re-issued, but it does have to be converted. The conversion will happen as part of an upgrade - or you can import your pre-7.1 license file using the Admin Console (NOT Admin Tool). The format of the keys changed between 7.0.01 and 7.1.00 - so you cannot use the same key across versions. That may be where the confusion is coming from... so it is correct to say you can't use a 7.0 server license key for a 7.1.00 server, but it is incorrect to say that it has to be "reissued". -David J.
