Hi, We have ARS 7.0.1 patch 002 running on AIX 5.3 with a remote Oracle 10g R2 database. I have tried to install the patch by doing a file replacement as well as using the installer.
in both the cases I face a peculiar problem - the arserverd process get created and is hung at 33% CPU. moreover this process cannot be killed even by "root" by the kill -9 command. Another peculiar thing is that this process has the PID [process ID] for the arserverd process but get displayed as [armonito] when seen via "ps -ef", "topas" or "nmon" utilities. The installer script hangs at stage 6 giving the message " Waiting for AR Server to respond". BMc support is currently looking at the logs.. Was wondering is anybody else has faced a problem like this with patch 006 ?
