I have to agree on this - don't do it. A while back we had a customer with AR 4.x clients connecting to a 6.x server - a few workstations got missed in an upgrade. One API call had changed on the backend. Whenever a user did a certain specific search the entire server went down immediately.

We found a number of issues with 7.0.0 patch 2 of the client on a patch 3 system, I am not sure what you would get with a version that old. If its an issue getting v.7 of the tool to your users, maybe move them to the Web. If memory serves me correctly they could be fairly serious if it was a large number of 5.x clients. You will need to search the ARS List archives to find out the specifics. Can we use client 5.1.2 with the upgraded server? I am planning to upgrade the client as well but wanted to wait for few weeks just to be on the safe side. Please advise. Thanks! Manjari R.
