You don't mention a bunch about what your run-process is, or what language it's in (if any)....but you might consider wrapping your process into a perl script, and passing minimal information on the command line to the perl script, have the perl script log into remedy to get the rest of the information, and then process it, or something like that. Short of keeping your run process under 255, I'm not sure what you can do without a bunch more information about what the process is and what it does.
